Sam's Club is hiring for Merchandising Lead

The Merchandising Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective presentation of merchandise in the store. This position involves supervising and guiding associates, managing the merchandising process, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The Merchandising Lead collaborates with store management to achieve merchandising goals and drive sales.

What You'll Do:

Team Supervision:

• Assist management with supervising and training associates in the merchandising department.
• Assign duties, provide feedback, and ensure associates follow company policies and procedures.
• Support the recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and evaluation of team members.

Merchandise Management:

• Oversee the receipt, stocking, and organization of merchandise from distribution centers and vendors.
• Ensure the sales floor is well-organized and merchandise is presented according to company standards.
• Handle claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and setting up product displays.

Customer Service:

• Provide exceptional service by addressing member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving any issues.
• Promote Sam’s Club products and services and support members with self-service technology.

Safety and Compliance:

• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps and following procedures for hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including proper handling of merchandise and adherence to safety standards.

Process Improvement:

• Develop and implement processes to meet business needs, analyzing and applying information from multiple sources.
• Monitor progress and results, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with management to address challenges.

Sales and Marketing:

• Participate in sales and marketing events and assist with achieving membership and sales goals.
• Maintain and organize marketing documentation and ensure accurate execution of promotions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) and 6 months of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a leadership role, including supervising a team, hiring, mentoring, and managing workloads.

Hourly Wage Range:

• $19.00 to $27.00, with additional premiums based on various factors.
